The film ” Kwatera Ł” is a record of the work of an exhumation team discovering the truth about communist murders in the first decade of the Polish People’s Republic (1948 – 52). A team of young scientists (archaeologists, anthropologists, forensic doctors) in the summer of 2012 at the Powazki Cemetery in Warsaw excavated the remains of soldiers and activists of the anti-communist underground in Poland. Among the murdered, in the prison on Rakowiecka Street, are the greatest Polish heroes: general August Emil Fieldorf “Nil” Captain Witold Pilecki, Major Hieronim Dekutowski “Zapora” Major Zygmunt Szendzielarz “Łupaszka” and many others. The film also shows the families of the murdered, who, thanks to the team of Dr. Krzysztof Szwagrzyk regain hope of finding the remains of their loved ones.
