“Grudzień `70, pamięć poległych, pamięć żywych” (“December 1970: the memory of the dead, the memory of the living”), a documentary film directed by Ewa Górska, on the beginnings of the Solidarity movement and its ethos. The narrators of the film are a group of high schools students from Gdynia and Gdańsk, who follow the paths of places marked by tragic events: strikes and bloodily suppressed riots, among which the victims were often their peers. Young people share their thoughts on these tragic events, what is the price of freedom, what universal values the Solidarity movement has brought.
