“I wjechał czołg” (“And the tank drove in”), a documentary film, directed by Iwona Bartólewska presents a reconstruction of a forgotten accident In October 1962, showing the enormous manipulation and censorship of the communist regime, when a tragic event occurred during the military parade of the Warsaw Pact troops at Szczecin. One of the tanks, unfortunately, slipped and drove into the crowd.  A dozen people,  mostly children, were killed under the tracks of a tank, lots of people remained disabled. After this accident, the regime had done everything to hush up public opinion and wipe all the traces.  Even the number of disasters was regulated at that time.
