The 6th of July was the date for the third and last film screening held again at the Romanian Institute for Adult Education in Timișoara, with a number of 17 participants, youngsters and adults alike. The third movie, Between Pain and Amen, depicts the horrors of torture in the communist era in a time when being publicly religious and believing in God was like a death sentence. In the story, a young composer is being arrested with his brother after returning from his studies in Vienna and struggles to keep his faith as he is tortured with others in a communist jail. The movie shows the imposed limits on the freedom of speech and behaviour, the lack of rights and the circle of abuse that people were forced into. The participants were impressed by the touching emotional story and engaged in discussions and also gave positive feedback for the entirety of the movie screenings.
