On Friday, 16 July, the activities of the PFD project involving the three film screenings culminated with a city tour of Timișoara, in which 12 youngsters visited the city and the most important landmarks in order to learn about the city’s history and also that of the Romanians. Timișoara is the first free city after the communist regime and also the spark that ignited the 1989 Revolution, so its name links itself with democratic values and principles. The youngsters learned a lot about the Revolution, life in Timișoara before ’89, and got the chance to absorb the city’s history in a walking tour of all the essential landmarks.
